The "Porto Sant'Elpidio - City of Children" Award within the "I Teatri del Mondo" Festival, in its eighth year of life, was born from the collaboration between festival and festival directors, in order to offer theater companies for children and youth an opportunity to show the their work to a qualified audience and a jury made up of industry experts.
9 companies will be selected who will perform with the show proposed on 15, 16 and 17 July 2024 in Porto Sant'Elpidio.
The winning company among those selected will be entitled to participate with the award-winning show at least 2 reviews (winter or summer) among those organized by the companies on the jury by 2024, with a fee to be agreed (which in any case cannot exceed €1.200,00 + VAT 10% per performance).
Shows also automatically participate in the “Gianni Battilà” Award assigned by Children's Jury made up of 150 girls and boys aged 6 to 14, which entitles the winning company to return to the Festival next year with a new production.
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
- Applications to participate must be sent no later than January 8, 2024.
- In the selection, shows that can be held outdoors in the afternoon will be preferred.
- The companies must be in possession of regular Enpals viability, or declaration of exemption.
- Participating companies must not have been financed by the FUS (single fund for entertainment) in the three-year period 2022/2024.
- Food and lodging for the day of the show will be guaranteed to the actors and technicians of the company who will represent the show. (2 meals, 1 night)
- A mileage reimbursement of the trip of €0,40/km will be guaranteed, calculated from the company's place of departure. The refund will be made upon presentation of a regular invoice + 10% VAT.
- The costs of advertising, organization and siae charges are borne by the Festival.
- The companies undertake not to represent the selected show in the months of June and July in the Marche region with prior authorization from the Festival.
- The organization does not have the obligation to provide the companies excluded from the selection with the reasons for the choice.
- The selected companies will be entitled to a pass to attend all the scheduled shows and special agreements with hotels and restaurants for the extra days in which they want to entertain.
